Kitazawa & Koizumi
Kitazawa & Koizumi was established on August 1, 1989 to provide quality service to clients in Japan with a focus on filing patent applications overseas in electrical and mechanical fields. Our firm has worked to build trust with its clients by carefully drafting patent specifications as well as written arguments, amendments, and other intermediate documents through frequent meetings and thorough communication with the client. We have also filed numerous applications in Japan on the request of our overseas clients and have earned their trust and the trust of their patent attorneys.
On September 16, 2016, twenty-seven years after our law firm was established, we completed the process to convert our entity type to a patent professional corporation in order to strengthen our management structure and ensure that our clients will continue to receive the same reliable service. Following this entity conversion, two of our members Teppei Fukumoto and Ka-Hae Kim were made partners and now form the nucleus of our management team. The original founders Kazuhiro Kitazawa and Shin Koizumi continue to take part in management decisions as advisors/consultants. There have been no changes in the content of our services or the firm’s personnel composition as a result of this status change.
We are committed to providing the same quality service to our clients following this change in status while always striving for improvement, and we ask for your continued patronage.
